Unlike a classic massage where the primary goal is relaxation, sports massage focuses on treating specific muscles that are under extra strain. In other words, it is effective if you experience tension before and after sports. The treatment consists of different techniques such as trigger point treatment, muscle stretching and muscularization and can be more painful than a classic massage.
